What did we do to him to make him troll us ?
I was under the impression he wanted to leave anyway.
Well it doesn't look like he'll be coming back anytime soon now. Its going to be another Vela situation where he doesn't want to come back.
Speaking of Vela how had he been getting on ?

Who said he is a world beater?
He would be a good option for us.

He may well turn into a decent player but he wasn't even good enough for West Brom at one point. Why would you keep a player like that on the books.
=========
He went to WBA after missing over a year with injury. The big error was sending a half fit flair player to a manager like Tony Pulis. He wants hard defensive work first and foremost, Gnabry does not fit.
If you listen to other members of WBAs coaching squad, they were high in praise for the quality of Gnabry - he just didn't fit the Pulis philosophy.
Sadly, as others have said, injury at a key time proved a massive barrier in his Arsenal career. Talent was never in doubt, and we wanted to keep him.

Always think we should have kept Gnabry and or Campbell, and loaned ox to a prem side to play week in week out. Probably would have suited everyone better

We got rid of Gnabry and Campbell and kept Ox and Iwobi. I think I would have been happier if it was the other way around.

So you would have got rid of two players and kept a player with one year left on his contract who turned down new contracts?
Sounds a good plan

I said the two players we kept against the two we let go. Gnabry turned down a new contract as he wanted more game time. Reports at the time said if he had been guaranteed more game time he was prepared to sign. If Ox had gone instead (as a lot of fans sad they would have preferred) and he could be persuaded to sign then yes to that one. Campbell/Iwobi is probably closer.

So you would be held to ransom by a player who has barely played first team football?
And still lost him for nothing cos he wanted to go back to Germany?!

"persuaded to sign" means he would have agreed to stay.

Could" means there is a good possibility he wouldn't!!
