Well...what an interesting few weeks on and off the pitch.
On it we've seen Iacovitti get sent off, Stojkovic battle for Serbia, Yates help Barrow extend their unbeaten run until 18 and Britt dancing it up in the African heat.
No further injuries then hopefully and either Britt will get a cold or play a blinder at Ipswich after his last few weeks.
Off it, I had the joy of watching England beat Scotland (not that I am overly fussed, but girlfriend is from Glasgow), Manny and McGregor winning and I rode my new bike, after some tool nicked my last one in August.
So, it's with a bit of optimism that I look forward to us visiting Ipswich and hope that the 4.30 am KO is worth it.
We have players who could well feature: Pinillos, Vaughan, Mancienne. Players who have an outside chance: Bendtner and Carayol.
Players who have no chance: Cash, Fryatt, Pereira.
I'd be hoping for this:
Stojkovic
Lichaj Perquis Worrall Mancienne Pinillos
Lansbury Vaughan Osborn
Assombalonga Vellios
Henderson, Mills, Traore, Cohen, Kasami, Lica, Bendtner
That's probably our most committed side available and maybe PM tried the 532 at home due to the number of Away games coming up. He does have some idea after all.
If he sticks with it I can see him getting a draw, if we can get some players back playing. PM however, has certainly been showing naivety and I think he is also suffering from a lack of confidence in the choice, decisiveness and timing of his tactical changes. Hopefully he gets it right this time.
A draw isn't what he needs to save his job either unfortunately, with the next 4 games being; Ipswich (a), Barnsley (a), Newcastle (h) and Derby (a).
The worst thing for PM is that Mr Moores can kick back and watch them all on the big screen. He might not know football, but I am sure he'll know when players are committed, the manger is clued up and the fans are happy. Although we could lose and the away fans would still be singing
So, if they didn't have pressure before, they'll be a whole lot more on them now. If they really like PM the players will realise this of course and then hopefully step up. He has always started poorly and hopefully he will get the opportunity to continue through returning players and a bit of luck on the pitch to bring us some positive results. Please.
Their form is a whole lot better than ours having only lost twice in the last 6, against Huddersfield and Newcastle. Our form is awful, 3rd worst in the league with just 4 points.
My final prediction then: 1-1
We'll go ahead, hold the lead for ages, make a defensive change, let in a goal, then desperately hold on for a point. Assombalonga, volleyed goal, 32 minutes.
Other likely occurrences are; fighting in the stands, re-use of the 'Fawaz Out' banner, getting a player sent off, having a player injured, then that player being injured, a bizarre decision (against us) that defies any known footballing rules, a player injured in the warm up.
Should be fun then.

I thought Kasami had his best game, other than his first game. Seemed to have toughened up. Plus, an assist.
Great save from Stojkovic to deny McGoldie.
Lam, hardly mentioned. That's how good he was.
Pinillos. Epic performance for his first game back. Completely locked down our left hand side.
Worrall....looks better than Lascelles at the same age.
Osborn another never give up performance. Plus an assist.
Assombalonga...two brilliant finishes.
PM....looks like the work in progress...might be working.
87 points to play for!

Agree with all of this. Would also mention Lichai - apart from failing to play Kasami in and inviting an Ipswich counterattack, he revelled in the freedom to go forward.

or even Lichaj

Lichaj has been clocking up some miles up and down the right hand side. Never really thought he had much going forward but he looks dangerous when charging though and you can see opposition defences flinching when he does.

He also does a very competent job when asked to switch to the left. Been one of the best signings of recent years. A free transfer too.

Don't want to praise Worrall too much too soon but it means so much more to see local players in the team and looking so composed. Never thought three at the back would ever become fashionable again but it suits him down to the ground as well as the other centre halves.

I don't want to see Hilda anywhere near the defence with Pillinos and Lichaj in there are the regular full backs

No reason at all for him to be in defence now that Pinillos is back.

Question is, is this a good forest performance or just a sh 1t Ipswich one.
