Good article as usual Morninchile.
And I like your team selection. I think PM will stick with the three centre backs, unfortunately Mancienne should not be one of them. I like him and think he is probably our best CB, but (and it is a big one) he can't be relied on to be available every week. Likewise Vaughan, and Traore. For that reason I think he should pick a team which has a good chance of playing again the following Friday against Barnsley. Mills in for Mance, Grant in for Vaughan, and Cohen at LWB; I don't think Pinillos will be ready to start a game yet.
By the time we kick off at Portman Road we could be in the bottom three; if that doesn't galvanise them nothing will. Big Game. Big games need big hearts.

Ipswich will be looking at this and thinking home banker so hopefully Forest might be able to catch them cold. Have read that the home fans have been a little disgruntled with McCarthy at times recently so something that Forest could maybe play on.
Monty really needs his luck to change so I really think he should get Assombalonga and Vellios going upfront. Need to give Ipswich something to think about. I would drop Kasami as he really hasn't impressed and looks like he has been going through the motions more than most.
If Bentdner could give the Reds a twenty minute cameo from the bench that could be vital. I would be more confident seeing him step up off the bench rather than the likes of Lica or Dumitru!
Feeling positive and think Forest could nick this 2-1 on the basis that the Reds haven't won there for a few years so, law of averages and all that....
Wonder if the late kick off will work for or against Monty's team talk as they'll know where they are in the table shortly before?...

3 of the next 4 games are live on TV. The exception being the game at The Dip.
Can't see us getting much out of any of them; the curse of Sky Sports will go into overload.
Hope to be proved wrong
all of our next 4 matches are live on sky
Sunday 11th 12:00 kick off
Ipswich might be the most winnable of the four!
I think we'll get 4 - 6 points max.
Hopefully towards the end of our Sky quartet we can have some consistency in selection..
Pinillos might start after 2 x 45 minutes with the U23s in 3 days, about two weeks ago.
Vaughan only had a bruised rib and that must be a month ago.
Not sure what the deal is with Mancienne or Carayol.
A 20 minute Bendtner cameo and a drawing / winning goal would be just the tonic we need.
Ninety points still to play for lads, so let's start with three on Saturday!!
A team managed by Mick McCarthy will take us apart in the same way a team managed by Warnock did. We've got no chance of getting a win and there's no chance of that starting 11, even though I'd be happy to see it. Sorry very negative but can't see anything good coming from this game
Hope Monty has them prepared for a proper battle. Ipswich will look to really get stuck into Forest as they'll have seen recent performances. Time to stand up and be counted.
Pinillos would be a big boost. The most accomplished left back I have seen at the CG since Bennett or Alan Wright.

Interesting view point here....

I don't agree with it entirely but there is something a miss with some of the squad, they just don't seem to be shall we say fully committed. Some of those have previously appeared to do similar under a couple of managers in the past as well when it comes to the end.
Whether that is a general attitude problem, the reported annoyances with owner, issues with PM or a combination is another matter.
I personally think it's there to a degree and to be honest as his contract situation drags on, I firstly wouldn't be too upset if Lansbury was to go. Hopefully that takeover saga won't drag over into January for Fawaz to pocked any fees
On that note; the latest updates on the takeover is although many thought it could be done sooner as it was apparently getting close, it's probably going to be early/mid December. The suggestion being that if things went smoothly it'd be all but done and dusted now, but things never go like that with certain people involved.
Also stated was that the USA consortium seem to like Fawaz.
That was from Daniel Taylor Tweets btw

Will don't talk wet mate
The players haven't got a battle between them - starting first and more most with Lansbury - the guy is a disgrace, I'll be glad to see the back on that overrated joker
He's more concerned about getting booked and sent off than he is trying top help the cause at Forest
The whole team is spineless, and the manager has not got a clue how to turn it around - Monty will be gone by Christmas
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn't include the likes of Cohen, Osborn and Mills in that. I'd level the accusation at a few of the loaners, though.

My conclusion to this evidence would be that the players aren't fit enough. One stat that backs this up for a start was the one stating the amount of bookings rises sharply towards the end of matches. Players are tiring so throw out a lazy challenge for the ball. Perreira has been one of the worst for this!
