The guy has had a bit of a mixed season. It's no surprise that for a young player that second season can be harder than the first simply because the adrenaline that got you through the first season can wear off to a point and you have to start playing smarter rather than instinctively.
I read an interesting stat this week that said Rashford has played more minutes than any other (outfield) United player since the day he made his debut for us. He has looked a bit leggy for us but he's had a bit of a break since the Fenerbahce game so might be sharper.
Tomorrow it's likely he's gonna get to start in the middle and he has a great chance to stake a claim for that central role that Ibra usually has. His debut in the PL last season against Arsenal was the stuff dreams are made of and I'm sure Jose is aware of that and will hopefully gee Rashford up with memories of that game.
Let's hope we get three points and start this run of home games with a bang
Big game for Rashford

I said not yet. They are both very young and with young players you manage them and don't ask an 18 year old to lead the line and put that pressure on them.
There really isn't any rush with Rashford. As for Martial, he was overplayed last season so understandably we didn't want to make that mistake this season

Robb Martial played 48 times for Monaco in one season. I know he played 56 times including time at Monaco last season but he appeared 48 times for us.

The only way to assess whether they can hack it is to give them a chance.
Not relegate them to the doldrums especially when both players played key roles in our team last season.
The treatment of Martial has been terrible and shunting Rashford out wide to run around aimlessly has been as bad.
Take Jose's dk out of your mouth and look at this objectively.

Martial was overplayed last season and is a bit burnt out. That's a fact. His own agent has said it. You're being utterly stupid saying that Jose has treated him 'terribly'.
As for Rashford, he's very young. It's not fair to him to put the responsibility of leading the line on his shoulders. Ibra was a great signing because not only can he help teach Rashford some of what makes a great striker but he takes a lot of the pressure off the younger players.
Your weird hatred of Jose makes you blame him for everything. Guess what... Having just Martial and Rashford be our main strikers at this stage of their careers is a bad idea.

Rashford is our best striker though. Ibrahimovich has a lot to learn off Rashford finishing wise.

He came onto 'the scene' at a time when anything positive for the team ran the risk of being over hyped. I felt at the time that what was being suggested about him was ludicrously and predictably stupid.
Other recent examples of this phenomena included the guff spouted about Obertan, Macheda and Januzaj. None of whom were remotely good enough.
Rashford looked like a classic case of being promoted way too soon. He is just not strong enough mentally or physically for the club. Not his fault. But that's the way it is.

His agent saying it doesn't make it a fact.

A young player playing 60 games in his first season at the club is likely to burn out a player, not least when he doesn't have a full summer break
