Hearing that there will be yet another minutes silence at Ibrox for the game on the 18th. This time for the 1961 Ibrox disaster.
If only the press would even raise the question. Has this ever been done for this date before?
Everytime we go there the past few season's theres something. Each one an attempt hoping that someone in the Celtic end will say or do something to disrupt it. Another attempt at pointscoring and using dead people to achieve it. Shameful.

They're just scared you'll go off on one if they say they like Celtic...
Stereotyping is wrong..

This does seem a bit strange.I remember Celtic playing Rangers in September 1981 at Ibrox, (for the precise date, check the net, but I'm sure it was close to the 16th, Celtic won 2-0) which would have been the 20th anniversary of this event, but there was no minute's silence, and indeed no mention of it at all.

I dont ever remember it before even Sept 86 which would have been the 25th.
In saying that we have much more information flying around these days and supporters lobby for this kind of thing more and more.
For me its all good and a show of respect from Glasgows 2 great clubs and there supporters to 2 fellow football fans should be welcomed.

Hampden - as you yourself would admit, it has become more the norm to hold moments such as these. Fortunately, they seem to be for long past tragedies, and not anything perhaps more recent.
However, if you are trying to follow the OP's insinuation that this is done purely to wind up Celtic fans, when Celtic never do such things as suddenly start to remember past events, we could mention the Famine Memorial strips every year, just as you could mention the Poppy strip.
But that is whataboutery at its worst.
Can we all not just stand for a minute and remember that 2 men came to a game 50 years previously and did not get home?

Celtic fans, what's the problem?
Shut your faces for 1 minute.
And if anybody is "at it" during the minute point them out to stewards.
Why is this even a question?
Respect for the dead is only human after all.
