Well, after a relative period of calm the Derby fans are doing there best to WUM. It's been a funny few days for sure.
Disorder in the ranks, blind optimism, 5 year old jokes...it feels a bit like a game of The Price is Right....only a few more to go and we'll have a full board I am sure.
Both Forest and Derby enter the game on a roll. Forest with 3 wins against superior opposition, Derby with 5 wins against teams in the Championship.
We score goals for fun, they don't either score or concede many. Hopefully Keogh is fit for this one, he hasn't got the temperament or the face for the modern game.
Form goes out the window for Derby Derby games, anything can happen as we have seen season on season. Forest still edge the overall results and will be hoping to hit the big 4-0 against Derby. Derby will be hoping to claw back a bit of pride after we singlehandedly destroyed their season not so long ago.
Team news then....whilst not the official update from Monty...I think we may line up something like this:
Stojkovic
Lichaj Perquis Worrall Mills Cash
Lansbury Lam Kasami
Osborn Assombalonga
Henderson, Mancienne, Vaughan, Pereira, Carayol, Bendtner, Vellios.
We seem to be getting somewhat of a settled side recently, with only niggling injuries forcing changes. Derby seem relatively unchanged from last season with pretty much the same squad...danger men for them are Ince and Vydra I guess. Although, they can score from pretty much anywhere, a little like us then...they just don't score as many.
Defensively is where this game will surely be won or lost, can we keep up this high scoring form, but actually defend? Can Derby continue defending well and keeping things tight?
My prediction: 3-2 to Forest (goals from Lansbury, Britt and Bendtner)
COYR!!!!!!!!!!!!
Updated Team based on Monty's pre-match conference:
Stojkovic
Lichaj Perquis Worrall Mills Traore
Lansbury Lam Cash
Osborn Bendtner
Henderson, Mancienne, Vaughan, Kasami, Pereira, Carayol, Vellios.
Assombalonga is a doubt.
Pinillos back in 2-3 weeks (hopefully against the toon).
Cohen, Fox and Fryatt to miss out again.

Also true Iwas. Forest's two tactics today were to kick Hughes off the pitch and to try to cheat their way to getting a Derby player sent off. All very reprehensible.

It worked last week for them against Newcastle.

Baz not Iwas obviously. They all look the same when they are so far away and earring gloves.

Those gloves would be dangerous with a punch.

So ironic to hear talk of cheating from fans of a club that has Tom Ince on the books! 😂
