Is this OUR poor run?

Not going overboard with the last few results, Sunderland, Plymouth and now Southampton. So much to take into consideration, and on tonight,Saints closed down well and hassled us into mistakes, but we made it easy for them with slow slow play.

Our poor run has seen us still in the FA cup, Still in the League cup and i bet we are favs to go through in both. If your going to have a poor run they have it when if you lose it doesn't cost you points or a cup place; and it hasnt.

There is also the Utd match to consider, its not an excuse but i bet there was a little bit of looking forward to the Utd match. On that match, i watched Utd vs hull and tbh Utd were not any great shakes either.

Now the starters have finished and its on to the main course, if anyone actually thinks the recent performances are likely to be replicated Vs Utd them i just don't think so. I said ages ago, utd match is a monster...wouldn't surprise me to see Henderson, Matip, Origi and Coutinho all start.

No panic guys, YES..poor run of form, however...hasnt cost anything yet; in fact, we gained on the leaders in the prem, only have 1 goal to get back Vs Saints at Anfield and we go to Plymouth as favs..if thats poor form then it aint too shabby!

Without our best players we are a poorer team.

Injuries are no excuse because every squad has to deal with them, but take Mané, Coutinho, Henderson and Matip out of the starting eleven then we aren't the same team.

We need a bit of luck and cross our fingers that our key players will stay fit and that Cameroon has a woeful AFCON.

I get the point you're making, but that first sentence is vintage Michael Owen

Say that again and I will find you, then beat you with my gammy hammy!

Mane is Camoronese

Very poor performance, that's patently obvious, made to look even poorer by a Saints side who deserved more.

Our team were shiiite, headless chickens etc., apart from Karius none of them came out with any credit. I wouldn't criticise the forward line, they were just not given the ball. Poorest player on the park, no question, Can.

In a way, if Jurgen can use the game in the next three days as a wake-up call, then all will be well. I'd far rather losing at Southampton than getting beat at OT.

You just beat us at home so this can't be your poor run.
Wait until you drop needless points against mid table teams consistently for like 4 weeks while your rivals pulls away. Then you can say you're having a poor run.

Champions Elect will soon be below Spurs. Watch this space.

thus far we have gotten lucky

a) draw to sunderland became losing th e gap to the top

b) draw to plymouth was kids. nobody really lost anything from this. we see the 4th round draw and know what needs to be done

c) lose narrowly in first leg... but they should have been out of sight.. so at least we still have a chance of some sort.

If we can get first 11 back out on the pitch minus of course mane then we can at least give it a go before the wheels really come off.

Didn't watch the match. Couldn't care less if we get knocked out though. Not a trophy I care about. We just need to bring our A-game this weekend.
