I feel sorry for Ranieri

I really do. And I don't even like ranieri that much. I'm grateful for what he did for Chelsea, but I don't have any real affection for him like I do for a couple of other former Chelsea managers.

But I just find what's happened this season and more specifically the fact that HE is under pressure incredible. The guys pulls off football history's greatest fairy tale, the greatest miracle in the entire history of the game and you have fans criticising him, one even talking about sacking him yesterday and I am just amazed. i mean it just blows my mind.

Lester were not even in the pl 3 years ago, 2 years ago they were literally worse off that they were now, actually in the relegation zone at this point and yet now they're not even in the bottom 3 and it's like it's a disaster. I don't know what Lester fans were expecting this season but if they magically thought they were now a top 7 club or whatever, then that's pretty naive of them. Football doesn't work that way.

I also hear people talk about ranieri losing the players. And let me tell you right now, if that is the case it is the players that need to go, not ranieri. If ranieri had never come to Lester, these players would have spent their whole career doing two things; fighting relegation and trying to get promoted from the championship. Ranieri gave them something they never could have had and if they've stopped believing in him (which I doubt they have) then that says more about them than it does him. If I was a Lester city player, considering what he did for Lester last season, I would run through brick walls for ranieri. Absolutely.

What do you mean reveal myself? I've never hid who I am. I don't need to, I'm making a good point, if you're just going to ignore it then whatever, your loss.

I'm surprised that HuthTheGreatest hasn't entered into a long and fascinating debate with you on this, Wahl.

Dungeon dude, do you really not think Lester should be loyal enough to ranieri to not sack him after one bad season?

That would be like two of the greatest minds of our time sparring with each other - like if Hawkins debated quantum physics with Einstein

I'm not sure this site would handle the traffic if I'm honest

Look I've made my point on this one. It's not the points, it's not the league position, it's the performances. The players are not just returning to their natural level - maybe you could argue that Huth and Morgan are without Kante in front of them, that makes sense. But no one can convince me that Ranieri is getting the best out of Drinkwater, Mahrez and Vardy

We've seen what those guys can do. There's reported mutiny in the dressing room, Ranieris behaviour has been bizarre and it sounds like he's losing the plot

Your point would be better if ranieri didn't already get the best out of them last season. So he clearly does know how to get the best out of them. Therefore that is not the issue.

Ranieris behaviour bizarre? Depends on how much you believe rumours and how out of proportion you blow them. Mutiny? Well considering what ranieri has done for those players and your football club, I'd say that speaks more about the character of the players than it does ranieri.

Wahl, promotion from the Championship is sufficiently tough that sometimes you have to take action to avoid it that may be seen as extreme or indeed unfair. Removing Ranieri is not a happy option by any means but it may be inevitable.

Wahl you don't have to worry because it won't happen

We have a DoF called Jon Rudkin who I'm convinced is killing the club from the inside. He's absolutely standing by Ranieri and word is that even losing to Swansea won't change that position. He's got the ear of the owners
