Here's a list of the players in the squad left over from the SAF era (remind me if I've missed anyone);
Rooney
Carrick
Valencia
Young
De Gea
Smalling
Jones
Lingard (Did he play under Fergie?)
With Carrick on his last legs, Young and Rooney being linked with moves away, De Gea to Madrid rumours resurfacing and the rest considered by some on here to not be of the required standard (not an opinion I hold myself), which of these players do you think will still be around over the next 2 seasons?
Also, when do you think we will see a United squad without anyone who played under SAF?

Pogba? Sort of

I'd struggle to call pogba homegrown. Perhaps he counts under some silly rules, but it's a bit of a push at best.

SAF is long gone now. New United is now.

No, I think he is playing him because he thinks he is OK. Not WC but OK

Not very long gone, not even four seasons gone.

Yeah but that doesn't suggest to me he likes him. He's just making use of his limited, and available, resources.
I fully expect the defence to be completely revamped in the coming seasons. We won't be challenging in the champions league with our current options, and that will be his ultimate goal.

I don't rate Rojo highly, but Jose seems to like him.

Jose has brought out the Rojo the Argentine International, (what an improvement!) and he'll be much better next season. Same with Jones, Jose will finally figure out Phil and we'll all benefit. This is like getting a new signing IMVHO.

Not really, Rojo has still looked crap at left back, which is where he plays for Argentina.
Jones has improved, but is still a long way off being the calibre of cb needed to really be one of the best.

SAF legacy-wise I suppose we'll have youth teams players who would have at least been at the club when SAF was here, his "no flashy boots" policy for the youth teams is still in place isn't it? #Legacy

Jones is playing half decent for the first time, but is still a long way off being the calibre of cb needed to really be one of the best.

Jones is good enough, for a side competing for Europa league spots
