In 2 seasons leftover will be IMO
De gea
Valencia (subs bench)
Smalling
Jones
Carrick will retire
Rooney and young to be sold probably
Lingard leave to go to a championship side

Jones!? I hope not.

Jones has been very good this year actually.
And sheite for the rest. One swallow doesn't make a summer.

So we should get rid of him because of his past then?
A more pertinent question is how many will be left from LVG's squad in the next two seasons?

Just wait and see if he keeps it up. I doubt he will. Bin then, don't rate him personally.

Well if he can keep injury free then definitely keep. He is a good player. Would rather get rid of rojo personally
Our homegrown numbers are looking likely to diminish in the coming seasons due to the ages of Rooney, Young and Carrick so that works in their favour for players like Lingard, Jones and Smalling.
, Zlatan, why is that a more pertinent question?
Jones is certainly good enough. Plus I prefer Fergies' opinion rather than Manc pythons. Plus I hope Jesse is still with us.

Think you'll find I am all for keeping Jones
Sorry Manc Pythons, it's Bad tardy opinion I don't agree with.
I guess because Fergie left an ageing squad, nearly four years ago, so six years from that time (as in the next two seasons) doesn't tell us that much about how the squad has been changed. It stands to reason there will be very few players left from that squad.
Van Gaal, on the otherhand, had to rebuild the squad - through transfers and the youth team - and the timescale of three years from him leaving this squad isn't a huge timescale like Fergie's.
For me it's more interesting to see the difference from the squad Van Gaal left and how many will remain - particularly the players he signed and brought through.
Maybe Zlatan, but it is a fair OP and deserves an answer.
Autocorrect has a lot to answer for.
Of LVGs signings only really Herrera is who I'd bet on being here in 2/3 seasons. And tbh, I don't even really count him as an LVg signing. Moyes wanted him and LVG never played him
Martial can be added to that list if he knuckles down.
Yeah that wouldn't surprise me, Rob.
Maybe Romero as well actually.
I am going to be more interested in what Jose is going to do with our youth set up, more than what players are left from a bygone area.
I am hoping Jose sees this job as the one where he makes a legacy.
I think he saw his return to Chelsea as such, didn't work out that way, though.
I don't hold much hope he'll be here beyond three years, to be honest. Let's just hope in that time he can get us back to the level we aspire to.
Might be surprised dazza if he does well. I don't believe he will go anywhere else. Where would he? The top job would be Madrid or barca , and he's done that already.
Doesn't always work like that, though. Mourinho is prone to meltdowns, so it wouldn't be on his terms that he leaves for better things.
If he can get the club back to where it is proven to be capable of there is no bigger club in world football.
I know others will start their squealing but once United start winning trophies under this man they will be hard to stop for ANY team.
Would like to see him settled in a house in the locality before I anticipate any long service medals but he is the man to take United back to the top.
I think Rojo for sure will be here.
Blind and Shaw maybe.
I think he would like to be here long term and the way he is going I hope so too.
