1. League cup + Europa Cup + Top 4 ==> Very good

2. League cup + Europa Cup ==> Good

3. League Cup + Top 4 ==> Good

4. League Cup only ==> Very very poor


If we only won the league cup we'd have gone backwards after signing what we were told were the best manager and best midfielder in the world. Very very poor would be a kind description if that happened.

Esp. when you consider the EL is there for the taking... Only dross left...

Winning one/both of the big two + another trophy gives you the top honours.

What do you define as competing? If you mean playing a bunch of group games against mainly lesser teams and doing little else (like last season) then I'm not particularly bothered. In time I hope and expect us to be reaching the knockout stages and competing against the best teams but right now that is not our priority.

As I have said, not reaching the CL will be considered a failure but to have a better understanding of how we have done this season we must look at the whole picture, how we have done in the cup and developed as a team too.

The cl is the premier club competition in Europe and as such this club strives to be in it every season. Your opinions on the make up of group stages or your opinion on how competitive we may be next season dosent change that fact or diminish Jose failure to qualify for it, if indeed that is the case.

As it stands failure to qualify for next season's cl would mean we will have no Europa cup win and no top four finish.

I think your season so far has been slightly below average although the League Cup win has prevented it from being poor. If you go on and win the Europa League and/or get a top 4 finish, it would end up being a good/very good season.

So far the season has been a bit, meh to be honest.

If we finish the season strongly, I would give the manager a C+

Pogba is a good midfielder. The problem is he has underperformed massively. Maybe next year is his year lol.

Its still a bit amusing how we can spend more money (record breaking(, change supposedly a poor manager and get worse lol.
