Dean Gerken must be asking himself what have I done wrong?
He has been between the stick in the games where we have collected 4 out of our 5 points.
It's not rocket science to work that one out.
Yes it's great having a figure head like David James in your team but all good things have to come to an end
Comments please

Gerken was unwell!

He was injured and lost his place, You cant blame James in any way for any of the goals since!
We have some major issues across the side but the keeper isn't one of them at the moment.

Speaking to Deano after the Doncaster game the other week he said he is without a doubt dissapointed that he isn't playing but a groin strain has forced him out as he was having a scan last week to determin the nature of his injury and to see what treatment is needed and time scale to sort the problem out asap.
And to be fair to David James the last 2 games he has made some world class saves and saved us alot more goal difference ratio than what could of been. I said yesterday after the City match that i thought David James was at fault for the goal against Brighton but after looking at it on the football league show last night i seen it was no fault of his. Deano is a profesional and knows the score & im sure he will be our number 1 keeper again at some point.

IMHO i thought Jamo could of caught the shot he turned over for the corner, and said to a guy a couple of seats away who clapped his "save", that he could of caught it and he wouldnt be clapping if they score from the corner!!
He looked at me a little sheepish after the goal!!

I know he had a groin stain, and David James had to come it.
I know you don't change a winning team but a losing one?
If Dean is fit give him a chance.
What more have we got to lose?

James was credited in almost every national newspaper of pulling off several world class saves and keeping us in the game on Saturday!
We have some massive issues across the side but James is not currently one of them?

Our problems are based in the fact that our midfield is not protecting our back line, which means that we are vulnerable every time we are attacked from deep.
This is because our one holding midfielder has not been picked to play, and our 'first choice' midfield 3 are completely disorganized and a joy to play against.
Before game 1 I advocated using two passers in Kilkenny and Reid, with Cisse protecting the back 4. Nothing I have seen so far has changed my mind.
If Millen gets fired because he let his soft side make the decisions then he will only have himself to blame. That is not the stuff of a great manager.

Thats the trouble with a great big groin stain greatredcharlie. It has a tendency to make one look a little sheepish
On another topic, many seem to be comparing Kilkenny with LJ, and to a certain extent they are right, but the physique of NK does make a difference. LJ is just too damned small. The only way he could possibly counter that is by running around like a demented terrier and developing his tackle (ooh er get you) Skill wise there never was a problem with him, and NK is the same only crucially slightly bigger. Neither will ever be tacklers, so all the more reason why Cisse needs to play or we need to sign a defensive midfielder which would probably take some explaining to the board when we have a fine one playing in the reserves
