I have been watching the tail end of this game.
We won 3 nil which is great, a tough game but we were sharper in front of goal.
Argentina went down to 10 men at 2 nil, but the method of the sending off was interesting.
This game was trialling video technology, Tomori of England (and Chelsea) was caught in the face by an Argie, Argentina went on to nearly score. The referee was buzzed in his ear and ran off to the side of the pitch and reviewed the play then sent off the Argie, justice done which is nice.
I think that it will discourage others from trying it on though I think the Argie lashed out more in frustration as they were fighting for the ball than with intent, not excusing it of course, he didn;t need to flail about so much.
On the down side. it did take too long in my opinion and that was before the ref was buzzed and before he ran off the pitch to review the screen.
I would prefer something along the lines of Rugby where someone else reviews the incident then informs the ref of what occurred, this way leaves it squarely on the refs shoulders even though he is advised by someone else to review it. I mean it must be reviewed at least twice the way it happened today.
I have never been a fan of using too much technology to "aid" decisions. Goal line technology, off sides even should the technology permit I don;t mind so much but as the commentators today discussed, this incident could have been interpreted differently by different observers.
I do think it will help sort out player behaviour.
Anyone else see it?

I think Solanke should be shown the door if he's after 50,000 a week as sugested.
Invite him to find another club willing to pay him that.
Tammy is a better bet anyway and appears to have a far better attitude.

I agree, his dad is driving this though clearly didn't work for Nditi and he was from a neighbouring school.

Yeah, that was what I'd heard. I could be wrong but by the sound of it, his dad looks on him as his own meal ticket!

Yep, it sure is. Colin's brother is over from Oz for his nieces wedding in a couple of weeks, lots to celebrate. I'm actually skipping tomorrow, going to make a day of it next week instead.
