Not really to be honest, i think the time was right for Scholesy to hang up the boots, he was a great player for us, a true legend, it would have been sad to see him in decline.

he was my favourite player along with Beckham, its sad that he retired but when he played you could tell he wasnt the player he used to be. Scholes is like the only player that would slot into the current Barcelona team with ease! Way better than that Xavi loser

I am , he was good for another year, at least he's stayed within the fold .
one of the best players I have seen live since I began watching in the buchan/McQueen/Hill era .
including maradona,muhren,zindane, stoichkov, astley grimes etc .

upset me more than losing to barca when he retired. hopefully a testimonial can be arranged .

always cared more about the football than the fame and money ......legend
