Back from his holiday and the subject of an approach from Sunderland for his services.
With the £30m Pickford cash to go shopping with, he'll think all his Christmases have come at once and hard to see him turning it down.
Good luck to him trying to turn around that mess.

Ellis Short has been trying to sell them for ages, he spent a fortune on them and won't be looking to spend any more. Not a fan of McInnes but at least he's at a club that has aspirations.

He's got to take it. They are now so bad that it's actually no longer a poisoned chalice.
If he fails people won't really blame him to much because the club is in such a state. He can take over from Pedro at Christmas.

Will be interesting to see who gets the Aberdeen gig - Tommy Wright if they have any sense - and wouldn't be surprised if Owen Coyle landed the Saints job
I think McInnes deserves his chance at Sunderland - if you compare where Aberdeen are now to where they were before his arrival then he has done a good job at Pittodrie. Think it's premature to talk about him being sacked by November, Andy

Duke - I agree that Neil would be good for the Dons, but he was quoted as saying recently that he wants to stay in England. Whether actually being offered the job would change his mind, who knows?
