Sunderland are in dire straights. Got huge debt and making losses year on year. Won't end well for what seems to be a pretty average manager. Expect him gone by November.
If he had any sense from a footballing perspective he'd stay well clear but I'd imagine he will be quadrupling his wage at least.

Give the guy a chance. He surely won't take the job unless he gets assurances about money to spend to totally revamp the team/squad.

That and a big transfer fund I would imagine

I think he's prob thought he won't get a chance at a similar club from staying with Aberdeen so has jumped.
I will say with Pedro bringing half of Portugal to try and make them competitive and the Sheep with a new manager will freshen up the league no end next year.

Ellis Short has been trying to sell them for ages, he spent a fortune on them and won't be looking to spend any more. Not a fan of McInnes but at least he's at a club that has aspirations.

Next Rangers manager when it goes t1ts up for Pedro
He's got to take it. They are now so bad that it's actually no longer a poisoned chalice.
If he fails people won't really blame him to much because the club is in such a state. He can take over from Pedro at Christmas.

Will be interesting to see who gets the Aberdeen gig - Tommy Wright if they have any sense - and wouldn't be surprised if Owen Coyle landed the Saints job
I think McInnes deserves his chance at Sunderland - if you compare where Aberdeen are now to where they were before his arrival then he has done a good job at Pittodrie. Think it's premature to talk about him being sacked by November, Andy
Alex Neil would be a great appointment for sheepy
McInnes can have the Celtic job at Xmas, Brendan and his invincible are gonnae be found oot!!
Duke - I agree that Neil would be good for the Dons, but he was quoted as saying recently that he wants to stay in England. Whether actually being offered the job would change his mind, who knows?
