Congratulations to AR for buying ER back
It should never have been a difficult transaction it just shows how inept Cellino was to have been completely unable to complete that deal.
I'd still like to understand why Leeds United don't own ER and if there is an liability owed to parent company, I hope there is nothing untoward there.
Assuming not then the point that is so important about this is that AR has made a claim, with timescales and stick to it.
I have always advocated having plans that fans can see because they can buy in and when you deliver you build trust and trust goes a long long way. After years of Bull from previous owners this is hugely significant. We neee to understand the bigger picture re parent company, developments, stadium move and TA, but this feels to be a very positive move.
Great news

Here is a dream.... in 3 years time we are playing in Europe. We are drawn against an Italian side that Cellino owns. When they come to Er, Ar turns to Cellino and says, 'You're welcome as a guest in our home'. Then we beat them 17-0.

I wonder with AR being Italian, will he bring the number 17 out of retirement?..

He said he has a 5 year plan to sort the club!..
That means sorting all the crap out and ripping it a new one, promotion I don't think comes into it, he said when Cellino was here that if we go up now than great!..
He wants promotion as much as or could I say even more than anybody!..
He wants to claw something back and looking at the way things are going the championship isn't going to pay!..
So the sooner the better for all!..

You won't wait 5 years though. When you don't go up this season, so called fans will want his head. And the Head Coach.

Snapski
Your jealousy stinks
If the owner does right by the club, the fans will be ok with him

Plan to get back as quickly as possible means nothing.
Would like to understand if we're staying at ER or going, how promotion will ever achieved and how we'll fund getting to top of Prem.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why woudnt we be staying at Elland Road? Extensive work was completed on the East Stand. Work is currently going on in the West Stand. Unless anyone states otherwise we are staying at Elland Road - no need for any announcement.
Again see no obvious need to state how promotion will be achieved. Everyone knows we need better players?
It looks like they are trying to bring in players - lets hope they turn out better than we already have.
Top of prem? There should be absolutely no need to make a plan regarding this as its unrealistic. Our target initially would be to get promoted and then target the 8th to 10th spot. Anything above that would need crazy money. (please no one quote Leicester freak season!)

Why buy if we are not staying? No logic in that at all

Rumours now flying that AR is planning a 3-year
overhaul of ER. One rendering is circulating. On
balance, keeping ER makes sense. AR seems
to have a ton of style so no doubt ER overhauled
by him would like pretty sweet.
Remember the trip to Juventus AR & team took?
Convinced that was a fact-finding venture as Juve's
stadium is class. Maybe getting design ideas?

Jono, club was obligated under a long term lease. To move, only option might have been to buy to then sell and move.

Jonny, I could understand buying to leave for a club with a ground in a high value area that a property developer would buy. Can't see that happening in Beeston to be honest

Jono, perhaps it has commercial property rights value? A mega Tesco or Costco, for example?
