Can't hide the fact I'm really underwhelmed with the rumours that Rooney is set to return to Everton. Let's hope it's just that. Rumors.
Nothing against the lad and he made the right decision to leave for united all those years ago. He realised everything he wanted to achieve in the game at club level and he's a true great of English football.
That said... Everything relating to Rooney now is in a past tense. I can't see how he would get anywhere near our side last season let alone the coming season.
If it was up to me I'd be having a conversation with Rooney just like he and his advisors had 13 years ago. Unfortunately Wayne you are not good enough to realise the club's new found ambition. Run out your £250k a week contract at united and retire.
Rooney?

Sounds like a free transfer, no loan. So whatever his wages are will be negotiated by the club and Rooney. There is no way on this earth we will pay £250k a week.
Good for united as they free up a huge slice of the wage budget. And seeing as he's going to be returning... I don't like it but as soon as it's done, ill get behind him. He has a point to prove I guess and an added motivation of being back in blue... Could be a masterstroke

He played 29 games and scored 8 goals and had 10 assists.
Not a bad return from a player who is past it

Lets hope moving back to his old club reignites a spark, he looks like he's been going through the motions of late.

When you watch his highlights from last season you'll come to notice very, very quickly that those 'assists' stats are,for the majority, quite simple passes and I would expect a non-league player could pull them off.
Most,if not all,of the hard work is done by the goalscorer.
Though Rooney did produce one moment of absolute class last season and that was his epic freekick away to Stoke.

Should be but we were just sh/t creatively,so sh/t that Rooney stats look decent.
Unfortunately this is what Everton fans will now cling onto in convincing themselves that they're getting a decent player.

Well if he managed it for United while unfit then Ron will beast him and have him fit as a fiddle.

Feel Rooney's past the stage of being 'fit as a fiddle'.We should know as we've been hoping for such for the past 2 and a half years.

theyre where outside the training ground before, suppose they've forgotten him dancing up and down in front of them kissing his Utd badge.
