Ings, Gomez, Mane, Flanagan and Sakho are all back at Anfield and will all be training again pretty soon.
Now worst case scenario if we dont sign a CB or LB, yes it will be bad BUT; Sakho and Flanagan can do a decent job imo. Whatever happened between the Kloppster and Sakho can surely be resolved "if it has to be" and Flanagan when fit i seem to remember was a very adequate LB, positionally much better than Moreno.
Ings and Gomez are both terrific players and of course Gomez fitted in the LB slot fantastically well, he was one of our most assured players 2 seasons ago. Ings hasnt had a great deal of playing time to show us what he can do, but, when he did i seem to recall he was exactly what Klopp wanted, press's well, runs the line and scored some good goals.
Mane, well hes a genius!
So, IF we dont sign what we expect id be happy enough with the likes of Gomez, Flanagan, Ings and Sakho doing a job!

I'm sure the idea was to give him game time after injury. I remember seeing we tell clubs that our loanees must play in 75% of games they are available for otherwise they have to pay a penalty.

The difference there is that Masch was top quality. No matter how you paint it, Flanno simply ain't. He's far too slow, but because he's a local lad and he tries really really hard, some people think he's a good player! He's not. Never was, never will be.

He has done well for us in the past, and I have hopes that he will do again. I'm not saying he is going to be first choice in either full back position, but definitely worth keeping.

Flanagan was sent on loan to get a move imo. TAA is our favoured young FB. He'll be sold and will hopefully build a decent career, probably have to drop to the championship though.
Sakho is a good player but that doesn't matter if the reports of ill discipline are true. If Klopp has decided he's not a character he wants in the team then he's done as far as I'm concerned. How many times did Fergie hold out an olive branch and give someone a second chance? Because I can't remember a single time. Once you cross the manager that's your lot.
Despite us needing a CB I actually hope Klopp sticks to his guns on Sakho. Shows the squad exactly who's in charge.
