The draw for the next round of the Carabao Cup takes place after tonight's Sky televised game between Bury and Sunderland. The next round is regionalised with half the teams deemed to be north and half south. The dividing line falls in the West Mids and that means Villa and Albion are in the north and Wolves and Blues in the South. Slightly bizarre in that Wolverhampton is actually north of West Bromwich and Aston. Wolves are ball number 24 in the South

We are unseeded also so have a potential prem side to come apparently.

Willy Boly

A surprise inclusion but this game won’t have taken too much out of him. Completely in cruise control from start to finish, he could still be playing now without breaking sweat. He’s a far, far better footballer than I envisaged; dealing with a 60 yard hoof forward is one thing. Cushioning it down straight to a team mate is another. Strode forward a couple of times and one crunching challenge in particular sent the message of “don’t come within five yards of me”. Should have scored in the first half – free header, 10 yards out and sent wide – which would have given the game a different complexion.

This guy always gives good match reports Wolfgang. Always errs on the positive side rather than the negative like so many others do and always makes his reports entertaining.
