I think Cooper is a good player to have as back up/competition. 4 years does seem a lot.

Great commitment. To be devil's advocate I would say if we got promoted would he still be part of a premiership squad.Not saying he or other lads of similar standing in squad shouldn't get longer deals, but just something to factor in.I guess with him being captain it would follow that he is part of our long term plans.A good lad who I hope has a great season.

I often hark back to pur 89/90 season and I wonder if Cooper could end up being someone like Peter Haddock(for those that remember him).A guy that had been around the club for a few years and flourished in that season playing with better players and although an unsung hero became an integral part of a title winning side.

AR is really creating a positive environment that has to have everyone feeling more secure and relaxed.

We all know that everyone, especially athletes, perform better when under less stress.

The change in the club is already amazing, imagine how it might feel a few weeks from now with us being in the top 2 or 3 places in the table!

I have to admit to being an initial fan of Coopers until some bad decision making on his part and the red card in that FA Cup debacle last season. However since then, one has to acknowledge that he has done just fine.

Good to see commitment to our players.

Cooper has ability but always has a massive mistake in him.

Cooper isn't the finished article. He has errors but like his previous team said, he is a good player.
