If we say as expected the sale of Coutinho to Barca goes through for roughly £90-£100m, and Liverpool themselves spend £70m of that on VVD, who then has got the better deal LFC or SFC
Both similar age and first team regulars and both regarded as being among the top players at their respective clubs
Saints end up losing key player but have £70m to find replacement
Liverpool lose key player but end up with quality player in other area, with £20-30m to spend elsewhere
Personally I reckon VVD ahead of Klavan is a massive upgrade
Which will probably be more beneficial to Liverpool than Coutinho
