Is United the real deal or just mirage

They have started well and have signed a proven PL striker although they were mugged by Toffies. The question is, are they just lucky with easy start and I can easily see them winning at least the first five games.

Worth remembering they have a top tactical manager who knows how to set up to win. The good news is, there is more competition in our league to derail any team especially negative football 🏈

Mourinho won the treble last season.

Man Utd waited 12 years for fa cup and 7 years for league cup and got 1st Europa League/UEFA Cup.

It's been 9 years since we last won the CL and 4 years since we last won the premierleague. Maybe we will repeat 07/08 season success in 17/18 season.

The side looks good. The best player in the league in several positions is a bit ridiculous though. Jose's success this season is not the given that people are talking about here. The matches we've seen from them so far make it look like it will be easy but the games that will cause the problem will be the usual tabletop suspect's. And there's where Jose's problems will begin. Remember this is manager who wins titles by smashing teams his side is expected to beat and then pretty much refusing to play any of the sides that can beat him.

His brand of anti-football vs the best just won't be tolerated at Utd. There have already been faint grumbles from the crowd and old guard. When he starts hiding his side from the likes of us and the rest of the top teams (as per usual) that's when the trouble will begin. Not to mention the fact that certain players in the Utd side also aren't gonna be down with the defensive anti-football crap that's his way. Pogba half the player when he's not free. Lukaku doesn't do defending in any hurry. Already clocked Jose snarling at him for ambling back.

Might all come off but I can see his abrasive, increasingly more annoying "bitter little man" persona tanking the side the minute things aren't rolling Utd's way. Similar to his last Chelsea stint. With Utd fans resdy to boo him out the door by seasons end.

They gave a new deal to Zlatan as well. Moureen is trying to buy the league to satisfy his ego. Hope they crumble and City will win it.

The thing is, he wins in his second season and the meltdown starts in the third. So, looks like we gonna win and then Mourinho will get the boot next season.

Arsenal fans desperate for him to fail they've always been interested in United. Enjoy Ropey League!!

Man U have done what Wenger fails to do year on year, strengthen the biggest weaknesses in the team. Its taken 5 years to get a CF to challenge Giroud FFS. Noew we have a defensively weak midfield and the answer I see from a lot of fans to have both CM's always deep is moving towards the Maureen anti-football park the bus style that people hate so much. They want us to address our defensive weaknesses by keeping 5 players behind the play in case ew lose the ball, the CB's and CM's. Maybe they would be happier if we got Maureen.

But to get back to the point, yes I think Man U can do it. In the first 2 games they have looked strong and powerful. Their spine looks strong powerful and fluid, exactly what ours lacks.

They are certainly in the driving seat atm and could easily go on to win the league. But it is very early in the season and the transfer window has not closed yet. Man C and Chelsea could easily strengthen further if they feel they need it and there is a long way to go yet. So at the moment Man U look the real deal but its down to a strong start. Lets see if they still look the part when they are playing on a cold and wet Tuesday evening in February

That cold wet February applies to all teams. However, our two main transfers Lukaku and Matic are PL experienced so that won't affect them. Will newbie's like Lacazette be able to handle it?

Mourinho isn't going to get hounded out by the fans while he's competing for the league title.

Similarly, there'd only be a minority of Gooners complaining if 2 DMs suddenly made Arsenal realistic challengers.
