But that's Wenger's Arsenal can you equate with Jose, I can't see them finishing beyond too two or someone will be sacked unlike us.

What we should do is have a 38 game season where they play everyone in the division home and away, a couple of domestic cups and a European tournament and then judge them at the end of it.

Wenger should be allowed to stay until the very end, his death, I would love to see Wenger managing into his 90s, we should go for longest serving and oldest manager ever, they'll never catch us

I seem to be the only person in the world who doesn't rate VvD as world class

He looks nice on the ball, his runs forward catch the eye, but a lot of goals Southampton conceded with him in the team where at least partially down to him being out of position or badly judged tackles.

Well....surely United will compete. You must not be a genius to work that out.

Do I prefer a player already at the club or a player who would cost a lot of money and will be quickly slated by the Arsenal fans as soon as he isn't protected by two DMs and a defensive set up?

Mustafi isn't convincing but I agree we need a rock in our midfield but not fancy types like Pogba

weren't it 18 months ago that Coquelin was a revelation at DM. Did the simple stuff...screened defenders and passed sideways to Cazorla. Then when Xhaka came and Santi got hurt...suddenly we had Coquelin being instructed to play further up and win the ball higher up the field. Issue was if he was bypassed, there was only slow Xhaka in front of the backline. So why did the team waste Coquelin's talent and ask him to play in a different way from what had worked before?! And if it was his idea to push up (like Alex Song) surely the manager should halt that immediately. But like Song, Wenger wants all his players to be attack minded. Any defensive know how, is brushed aside and DMs are pushed further forward. You could have Kante or Matic or Cavalho or whomever int his team and they would look crap.

Tapping him up? If they did it with Southampton's blessing then we will be right back in there and I doubt he will agree to go to Arsenal if we're involved.

He loves the Mersey air that much you see

Coq was actually quite good as a DM but for some daft reason Wenger is trying to convert him into a box to box MF.

When he was playing well as a DM he would generally stick in the defensive side of the pitch but now we see him bomb forward at every opportunity even though he's shocking in attack.

Yes but it is common knowledge that VVD actually wants to join Liverpool. Bit of a difference.

Real deal for sure, this is a very typical second season Mourinho team. No team in the league can match them for pure power whilst still having a lot of very skilful players, they have the best player in the league in several positions and most importantly this is a team that looks like it can play Mourinho's style. I can't see how any other team in the league can come close to them.

Mourinho has done it again. Like he always does.
