I'm making this article due to mike deans display yesterday. Bournmeouth vs man city.
Really is baffling that referees clear mistakes happen almost every game and costs the other team. How do they get away with such important decisions for these teams and nothing gets done about it.
Instead its points dropped, accept it and forget about it.
Bournemouth played brilliant. What looked like a hard fought draw until the 97th minute. Initially it was 5 minutes added on. Why on earth did mike dean play to the 97th minute when it was clear as day, time was up. Therefore, city score in the 97th minute and take all points.
How can refs get pulled up on their mistakes? It just seems that they get forgotten about. Lacazettes goal last week, clearly onside but isn't given and we lose a point.
I would love for something to happen where refs and lines people get fined or sacked for these mistakes.
How can they have so much power that allows them to control the outcome of the game instead of the players.
Do you think the english game is rigged?
Just watch the refs performance today and see what crucial decisions are and are not made.
Referees ruining the game

I'm all for legitimate criticism of refs, especially the perennial narcissist that is Mike Dean.
But as every football fan should know, the number of minutes indicated by the 4th official is a minimum. It's then a the ref's discretion to add time for additional stoppages.

Yeah an ex ref says it is offside but lets ignore everything. Yesterday we scored a goal that was also correctly allowed for Fellaini.

Lacazettes goal was by the letter of the law offside but you see them given all the time, like Man U's yesterday which was far worse. On another forum someone posted a frame by frame comparison which showed the one to prove he was offside was proably a frame too late and he was onside at the pointy of contact f passing the ball to him. Its too close to call so if the letter of the law had been followed correctly the benefit of the doubt should go to the attacking side. Unless its Arsenal of course, then everyone just says its correct. Man U's yesterday was clearly offside so they didnt show it with the line across the pitch when the pass was played on MOTD. They should have for consistency. Its when we have clear differences in the way teams are treated that I dont like it.
And add to the disallowed goal we should have had at least 2 penalties and the officials have cost us 3 points. The foul on Bellerin was almost identical to the one on Luiz yet the same presenters argue its not a foul on Bellerin and a clear foul on Luiz. Inconsistent again. And the other penalty shout was a clear one very similar to another foul that a free kick was given for the same day as well.

......
A ref said the Fellaini goal was by the letter of the law onside due to deflection by defender trying to play the ball to block it. Thats what the new rules state so they got it right.

I should say touched it on to Fellaini path.

I dont recall on MOTD there was any suggestion of a touch or deflection and they said it was "probably offside". The point was not about that though, it was about the absolute scrutiny of the Arsenal one and not for Man U. Where was the slo mo proving there was a touch or not? Where was the freeze frame with the offside line showing? My comment was about consistency for all teams. The coverage of those two was far from consistent.

Play was held up for 2 minutes at Bournemouth because of an injured B'mth player plus City made a substitution.
That's why they were still playing in the 97th minute.
