WHO THINKS THEY KNOW BETTER THAN CONTE

Guys I am really sorry to dig out some of my own fans but I have seen some threads on this board turning their noses up at possible Drinkwater/Llorente signings, I do say possible.
Can I ask what is wrong with them.
We need a back up striker ( do you know how hard it is to get one prepared to play back up). Yes Llorente is 32 but he has scored goals in a very poor Swansea side. and agianst some of the top sides in the Prem.
Now to Drinkwater, what is so wrong about this possible signing. He is a very hard worker, covers all the pitch and was a key component alongside Kante in the Leicester league winning side, he is a very good player.
Now to the title of my article, If our Manager Conte, who has won silverware on a consistent basis, got us to Champions in 1st season after a disastrous start and we don't look bad so far this season.
Well if he wants these players then that is fine by me. He knows more about football than me about any of us on this board will ever know.
I cannot believe some of you are questioning he's decisons on what players he wants to pad out the team.
Hell most of you have been moaning about not buying players and how thin we are.
I think some of you have just got very spoilt with the big signings.
Trust Conte, if he wants a player it is for a reason.

That's me crying by the way

I'm not spoilt, far from it
We are very light in squad numbers this is true however most of my points are based around drinkwater, he is at best a decent player, he is a decent player in a top ten team.

However he is not Chelsea standard, he doesn't get anywhere near our first team fabregas kante bakayoko are all ahead of him and even in a 352 start ahead of him

The money being quoted for him is insane considering we let chalobah get to the point where he wants to leave the club for a pittance and is a more gifted player and arguably a better player now.

It's not about being fecking spoilt it's about questioning the decisions of the key decision makers, not Conte, he's the coach.

It's utter madness that we should sell chalobah without attempting to give him first team opportunities and spend 40m on a player who unless we have 2 injuries in our midfield will not start a game.

It's the market we are in, yes it's difficult but we should adapt far better than we have
Llorente is a wierd one for me but meh

Both he and drinkwater won't be at the club next year if they sign i can guarantee you that. Llorente will get. Year out of it and drinkwater will go on loan and we would have spent £55m

Madness
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Poor squad planning and handling of youngsters has got us to the point where spending £60m+ on two 2nd/4th choice players seems reasonable. We need to reassess how we do business because this is not sustainable - especially with a new stadium on the horizon.

Robbing Aurier off Spurs would be a good signing, Improves our team and Wums them again.

Chalobah had more than enough opportunities to impress on loan, proved nothing more than to be a good Championship player. Flopped in one PL loan and barely played at Napoli - not Chelsea standard.

Drinkwater's decent/a definitive upgrade on Chalobah. The money is excessive but that shouldn't matter to you based off your previous posts on that subject.

What the hell do you think the purpose of this site is?
It's for fans to express and discuss their views on football. You can't just counter everything said with 'the manager always knows best therefore there is no point in anyone ever posting anything'.

CSTP the issue I have with a few people on here is, there has been moans and groans about strength of the bench, so CFC trt and do something about it ie Llorente, Drinkwater, Ox, possibly Barkley and then what do they do moan about them.
What do people expect we can go out but 4 world class players who would be happy to sit on the bench and plays a few games.
All I have heard is youth this, youth that so do they want 6 youth players on the bench with very limited experience and have no one who we may be able to bring on and change the game .
And besides that the window closes tomorrow, who knows who we could bring in, there could be a major 1 or 2 surprises by close of the night.
If Conte consisders the players we are linked with are good enough to do the job, that is good enough for me. If they all turn out to be useless then we can all say something. But for one player ie Drinkwater I really feel they are being extremely harsh, he is a very good solid player with bags of experience

If he was that keen on those players, I don't think we'd still be without them with a day left of the transfer window. Everything screams of desperation and a last ditch attempt to just find anyone available to make up the numbers.
