Look up the sky commentary - especially Thierry Henry talking about how comfortable and nice everything is at arsenal. very stagnant and no push to excel.

He can' be fully honest though or he would anger an already angry base who do see him as a great, he would't tarnish that legacy by being honest and asking the fans to not be so critical of everything

I think he was pretty honest and damning. He said that it does not matter at Arsenal. If you perform well, it's nice, if you dont perform, it's still nice. Whether you start, it's nice, whether you are on bench, players dont care. When we win, yay it's nice...when we lose..meh..so what. That is what the issue is. Players are not motivated to perform and strive for excellence.

A manager who cannot motivate, who does not look at the opponents to try negate their strengths, who plays the most strange lineups anyone has seen...how can we as supporters not be as livid and demand more.

Your fans were all saying "play a back 5" last season, then Wenger does it and it works, the moment it looks slightly shakey you're all back screaming at him saying he sets up wrong etc.

It's almost like training a dog, if you flip around during the training you'll confuse the dog, you need to be consistent in the training for it to work.

Problem is the only real consistency for Arsenal is the fans complaining about everything, well that and 20 years of CL by your excellent manager.

I personally dont cater to one formation or another. You play to your strengths while keeping your opponents in mind and prepare accordingly. These same players could play any formation within reason if the right manager was in charge - actually coaching and telling them how to behave based on formation and position.

How can you tell me that playing versus Pool, (who are electric and solid in the middle) selecting a slow Xhaka who wenger has admitted cannot tackle as your deepest midfielder was a good idea? As a Ramsey who spends more time in the attacking third, we were going to get sliced through any time pool wanted to. How do you select Welbeck (who falls over any time he is in the penalty area) over Lacazette - a proven sharp striker? How do you play a RB at LWB, a LB at CD and a RW who WANTS TO LEAVE at RWB?

Come on - even a 12 year old who plays FIFA can at least play the right players int he right position.

It's admirable in a way that Arsene has so much faith in his players, too much it seems, but you're dead right lining up like that v the front 3 we have is simply madness, he should have learnt that lesson in the 5-1 a few years back.

The atmosphere around the club is bad at the moment but it's understandable why it's like this, same issues every year and it's now come to missing out on CL football so the signs are there that the team is getting weaker and clubs around you are getting stronger.

Arsene should have retired after winning the FA cup last season, I think even the most ardent Wenger out fans would have taken a step back and celebrated everythinghe brought to the club and the bad times would be forgotten.

AS a though, how about as a song (changing an old one)
