The common denominator when we get overrun in midfield like that - is Fabregas.

But what alternative is there, all well and good playing armchair manager but who else can play there. he tried Luiz last week that went down like a lead balloon, baka is carrying an injury but has to play.

Luiz scored a cracking goal in that game and we were 2-1 up when he was subbed off.

I sat at MHL against vs Watford. The liquadator song was being played, when I heard the most cringiest feminine voice coming out of a bloke next to me who was about 7 foot tall. I was struggling to hold my laughter. It was so funny.

Back to the topic. Agree with Bigish here. I think we need to push Luiz to midfield and groom Christensen in Luiz's role.

Christensen is a great defender, and I have no problem playing him there in place of Luiz if necessary. But I think Luiz proved against Roma that he is not a midfield player. We need our actual midfielders fit again.

I think we all know the answer to this Brummie - it was our annual panic buy when we failed in our attempts to get the first five people on our list. I'm not saying Zappacosta is bad - but he's not as good as any of the players Conte actually wanted.

Exactly. Our midfield looked more solid with Luiz in than it has in most other recent games since Kante got injured.

We were winning the game when Luiz was subbed off, some people seem to be forgetting that.
