Proud..........

Well what can you say? Our squad players (9 changes) held a virtual full strength City team away for 120 minuets! Very proud Wolves fan!

Strength in depth!

No goals conceded in the cup at all!

Defence looking meaner than Sandwell fan booing Pulis

Scoring goals for fun.

Fans are an absolute asset, 6k for a Tuesday night game (My ticket fell through ) As well as a packed Molineux!

And playing great football!

The only negative thing........another forward in the summer would have finished our chances last night, but I'm sure Uncle Mendes is on the case for us in Jan!

What a time to be a Wolves fan..........can you feel it? It feels like something special is happening, now were out the cup (sadly) Lets get the promotion train back on the tracks, Come on me babies!!!!!!!!

not sure what supports the idea that there's a chasm like gulf in class between the two players

kmac has played around 400 games in his career, 26 in the prem, and around 250 in a league lower than championship level.

edwards has played around 430 games in his career, 60 in the prem, and around 170 in a league lower than the championship

both have won promotion to the prem once, both finished 7th with wolves recently, and Edwards also has another play-of place to his name

kmac has 3 or 4 caps for Scotland. Edwards has 40 odd for wales, including being part of a major tournament semi-final

can't say there's anything in those figures to suggest either player is any better than average championship, and in fact kmac's record is a fair bit worse than Edwards. unless all those footnball managers and clubs over the years have got it wrong, I think average champo is a pretty fair description.

FFS of course all of those football managers had it wrong. Cinciwolf is the oracle as far as football information is concerned and I for one would trust his judgement over all others.
In the same way that WolfieintheSunshinestate is modest, humble and considerate, then Cinciwolf is the "Alex Ferguson" of football common sense.

Anyway, in real Wolves' news; we have exclusive options to buy all of our loanees including Vinagre who is allegedly attracting some of the Premier League's "big hitters" as well as Arsenal and Everton.
We may take-up some of those options in January:

Wolves has also signed a new striker. Yay! 18 yo, Benny Ashley-Seal from Norwich. Straight into the U23s.

Dunno about that, but it is concerning that those going to games thought we should cut our loses on cav and saiss and promote Oniangue and Zyro instead, makes you wonder what they are looking at doesn't it.

Offer kmac and Edwards to every club in the top two tiers and it would be about a 5-1 swing in kmacs favour.

Said all through last season that Saiss was a player just waiting to be given a chance to perform how he could without
A. the shackles put on him by managers who didn't want to play football
B. the fact that said managers didn't really want to pick him
We'll never know about the onion because he obviously upset Lambert & didn't win over Nuno during close season, Zyro looks to be a player of quality but isn't fit enough to prove it, shame to see Edwards go as we all love a tryer but it's about quality now, KMac has a little more quality but not enough for where we want to be

Easy to say that when there is no way to ever prove it.

You spent years telling everyone that no Championship club wanted Edwards and it was proof he wasn’t good enough for Championship football, then when he was made available he went to the club who finished 3rd last year.

Fact is, any club either of them go to in the Premier League would probably be relegated and it is unlikely any team up there would be interested. Most Championship clubs would have either of them in the squad, it’s unlikely any Championship club will get promoted with either of them as a main midfielder.

Saiss was also very inconsistent last season, but I can’t remember anyone on here rating Oniangue. I don’t remember one person complaining when he was loaned out.

Cav was frustrating last season and he was last season. People looked forward to Zyro returning from injury as he had an impact in his short spell when fit, but I’m not sure there has been any great clamour for him to replace Cav. I think a lot of people would rather see Costa back to fitness to replace him if I’m honest. Would you disagree?

i'd have taken £5-7m for cav in the summer as he wasn't that good last year. I still wouldn't be heartbroken if we got £7m for him as I don't think he's proven himself to be a top player yet and I think we could get someone as good (and maybe more consistent).

doesn't mean I don't like the guy or think he has potential, but he really hasn't been a patch on jota who was showing signs of being absolute top class after only a couple of games in the UK. and he has never got anywhere near the levels of costa last season.

similar story with saiss. playing better this season, more often, which is great. do I think he'll be the long term CM in our prem side? no.

I actually liked the look of oniangue, tam. think he was a bit like n'diaye but not quite as good. in the games I saw he had more impact than saiss last season, but I think this year he'd be fifth choice CM or lower...but then perhaps playing with neves, jota, costa, bonatini, doc, douglas, and boly around him he'd look much improved too, like saiss.

Oniangue looked absolutely hopeless in one game and touched the ball something like ten times all half which for a centre mid is unforgivable.
