A wet afternoon could be in prospect which will work to equalise any advantage we have, but the good news is that the pitch looks well-kept. I form this view from watching the highlights of their 3-2 win versus Barrow on 22 Oct. The goals were nearly all the result of bad errors in defence or by the goalkeepers, the Ebbsfleet man finding it difficult to take the ball cleanly. However, their was an emphasis on playing football, so I don't think it will be rugged encounter tomorrow.
They clearly have the ability to give us a good game, but I think that our speed and fitness and some of those flowing moves that we are capable of would be difficult for them to handle. We need to be at or near our best though to guarantee a result.
It looks a neat little ground, so if the weather holds up it should be good to watch.
I'll go for 0-2 to us and Rowe the scorer, Marquis if Rowe doesn't play with a crowd of 3,000.
DPL vs Ebbsfleet Utd

As I have noted before we tend to get most marks for crowd numbers in the DPL especially when it is a home game, but this time only Azza scored under that heading, so for 42 points to be scored overall without crowd points was impressive. Perhaps it was not unduly bold to forecast a win in this match, although when they were 2 up and we seemed to have self-imposed a ban on taking the ball much past the half way line even a draw seemed beyond our reach. Tommy Rowe was a popular choice for the first goal even if it was not expected to the beginning of the much-needed comeback. Most thought the crowd would be near capacity, but for North Kent, with much good quality League football well within reach, it was obviously not sort crowd-pulling sporting occasion. So only Azza went low enough to get points.
Uthred remains top of the table with a joint top-scoring 6 points. Thanks for your efforts everyone.

Thanks Mooli; it was tough to devise a spreadsheet with such a rusty brain as mine and its then a challenge to get 606 to display it intelligibly, but it's worth the effort to provide us with added interest even if we lose.

Cheers Don. I know how much time and effort you need to have to put such figures together not a 5 min job!
Onto the cup draw we will play either Northampton or scunny at home over the 1st-4th of December.

It seems there are not to be any highlights to watch on the Rovers web site. I know iFollow is basically for EFL games, but I think in the past we saw cup highlights. There seems to be some on the Beeb web site, but they are blocked out for those of us living in the colonies - just as iFollow is for you living in the Mother Country.

Micky: one of the joys of modern media is that everyone competes to cover football and everything else for that matter. It is supposed to make for a healthier market, but the consumer is the one who has to shell out.
When Sky first came on the scene BBC lost a lot of its sport - in fact now it hardly has any left - but Sky was better in many ways because it was more or less comprehensive and went deeper, especially for golf and cricket. More recently though BT have come along and grabbed all the European Cup games and share with the BBC the FA Cup and cover some of the top tennis.
My Sky subs haven't gone down and now there is no European Championship football on show unless I pay another £25 or so per month to BT Sport.
This may well be "competition", but to me it seems to have created a very profitable business for BT Sport alongside Sky whose subs have risen despite less coverage.
So the TV companies and PL football clubs grow even richer and the consumer is the one that pays for it.
The BBC has no chance as politicians of the governing party do everything they can to diminish its position in broadcasting, most of all by trying to limit its access to state funds. Unfortunately this has led to a deterioration in the quality of its output as it struggles to "compete" with the mass of low grade entertainment provided by the hundreds of channels now available.
And Amazon etc are all ready to pounce now too ready to "give the consumer even more choice as to how he/she gets entertainment". Aren't we lucky?

Micky,Donaldo, if you can, get a VPN app for your computer. Then even if you are abroad it adapts your computer to think it's in the UK! It's free and not illegal . Also You can also buy a wifi mobile hotspot adapter and an international data Card from a UK mobile company to connect your machine to UK servers

Nookiebear,
Thanks for the info. However I found there were many VPN sites. Do you recommend a particular one for a Mac? ExpressVPN claims it works with all systems.
