Sexual Harassment

So its all kicking off and rightfully so with the revelations from Hollywood and the political accusations coming out on a daily basis

but what constitutes sexual harassment in the workplace and what is friendly contact ect in the workplace

I'll give you an 2 examples of my experiences in the workplace in my current role that have happened to me

#1 I work in HR (I know) mostly with birds and hold a middle management position, now I had a very senior manager who fancied me and use to come up behind me and give me a shoulder rub/massage and it running joke around the team that she did this now I didn't mind although sometimes it made me a bit uncomfortable just because she would sneak up on me like a facking ninja and do it
#2 I have had senior management twice sit on my lap however both these were on workplace lash ups but these are considered an extension of work and behaviour is meant to be kept up to the same standard

so has anyone had similar experiences and if so how would react

Now you all know I'm a red blooded male and love the female form however if I did the above in the workplace all fackin hell would kick off and I would be labelled a fackin pest and fired through a process

so whats up

Too right. Especially when I need a dump and there's fools in there playing games on their phones. Some don't even turn the sound off.

I have had my ass grabbed by female management and I have snogged managers, and secretaries, and gone out with girls at work....ended up marrying oneπŸ’—

However, office flirting and relationships are nothing to do with rape, bullying and abuse, IMO.

Two separate and distinct subjects, being blurred by press, media and some political SJW bots.

Do we want separate areas for men and women, like certain Muslim cultures, or old Catholic Ireland?

In my wife's primary school, boys and girls had separate playgrounds....in the seventies, ffs.
Knee touching, fleetingly, sounds like something a nun warned Irish girls about, to prevent pregnancy.

Real life and people will carry on, and the perverts, rapists and abusers will suffer the consequence of their actions.

OP you are lucky but if you are uncomfortable with that behaviour by a colleague, you should tell her to back off.If she doesn't listen to you, then you should report the matter to senior management and police.

I wasn’t too fussed tbh however that doesn’t make it acceptable behaviour in the workplace-

Yes I know you are right but there are some people who are not even allowed to date or even meet the person they are going to marry properly before marriage as their marriage is arranged which will happen to me which I hate.Sadly,I would be able to date and marry a girl of African descent but now I am somewhere else where some others will choose my life partner for me.I just hate my religion for this and especially my country.Religion is stupid in not allowing $ex before marriage in my view.
