January transfer rumours

as I've said, i'm generally ok with afobe being brought in on loan and i think he can do a good job for us. i'd still use him as cover for a few games, coming off the bench for 20-30 minutes to rest the striker or add some pace. most fans thought we needed a striker this window and rafa mir was only ever going to be one for the future.
i actually am not concerned by the number of goals we're scoring, as it makes no odds so long as we keep winning. i think it is a natural cycle during the season for a team to drop off a little over the December/January weeks as not many sides can maintain peak form and performances throughout 46 games. the key thing is that whilst other side dip in form might see them losing a lot of games, or managing draws, we've for the most part kept winning. nothing wrong with a few 1-0s, especially as most of the time we look really comfortable getting them.
i expect the side to kick it up a gear again as we come out of the winter and think we'll see a few big scoring wins in the run in. i believed that before we signed afobe, and i don't see it any differently now we have him. the main thing about him joining is that we can make sure we don't burn out key players, and have a natural replacement should anything happen to bona...so long as afobe can fit in with the nunorevolution

Feel a bit sorry for Mir. He has played two games and everyone has already written him off.

i know what you mean tam. i'm hoping that nuno was clear with him when he signed that we'd be looking to bring in a more seasoned striker and that mir was being looked at more as a long term prospect.
genuinely seen some wolves 'fans' calling mir sh!t and rubbishing him after just a couple of appearances. these were probably the same fans that slated bona when he first played for us...then thought he was the best striker since bully when the goals started flowing...and have now written him off again as he's not scored for a few games. gotta love loyalty.
