Shorts in the Winter

Only postmen wear shorts in winter. Something to do with packing them in each year buys the beer. Something like that

I've never been as far south as the north.

I have definitely noticed it in the last couple of years in the East Midlands/East Anglia.

Must be some kind of masculine backlash against perceived softening of blokes.

There is no rational reason for wearing shorts in winter unless you see doing exercise/physical work.

I’m noticing it more and more now days , you must be demented to wear shorts with how cold it is lately.

I've skied in shorts

I used to wear shorts in winter but I discovered jogging bottoms which are as comfortable but a bit warmer.

Regular trousers are just unpleasant to wear, that's basically the issue.

I am currently in Newcastle.

They have absolutely no concept whatsoever of Cold, to them Cold is something southern softies from Yorkshire, Lancashire and below talk about.

The shops only have a summer season, even though they don't have a summer.

Wearing shorts all year round is the norm.

Bit like those fat bald geordies who go topless in the away end at matches in winter, like its somehow impressive to do that when its facking freexing

It's absolutely freezing down here, why would I want to wear shorts and be cold when I can wear trousers and be warm?!
