Absolute disgrace. I was going to go with my two lads but now none of us are going. I doubt any Derby fans will turn up at this price and time.
ManU are an embarrassment to football.

Yes Griff, it means that Man U supporters being ripped off by their greedy owners end up subsidising our tickets. What a way to run a club.

Reading did it for ALL of their supporters when they drew United last season, not just the ST holders.

Mel likes to reward loyalty. Part time and arm chair supporters take note.

Lets face it, anyone with half a brain knows that if Utd had let us have 10,000 tickes at £20 a pop they would have got more revenue, particularly with the add-ons like beer and pies.
Fact is they see us as a genuine threat (however unlikely) and don't want a big away crowd making things worse.

Not so Scouse, 5500 tickets at £45 brings in more revenue than 10,000 tickets at £20, plus they lose about 4500 Man U fans who have to pay the full wack. You have to sell a hell of a lot of pies and pints to make that up assuming that no one will now buy pies and pints.
Tip, don't have a career change to accountancy.

Unfortunately there's no incentive for Manyoo to be reasonable here.
5500 of us at £45, with 25% of us buying a pint, 25% of us buying a soft drink, and only 100 of us buying a programme (cos we're annoyed with them) is pretty much revenue neutral with 10,000 of us in at £22 with 30% of us buying a programme, half of us buying a pint and another quarter of us buying a soft drink.
As spart says, why force out their own who get done for full whack, and actually concede the noise/ atmosphere advantage to us lot for no financial gain. (Not that even a huge financial difference in this example makes even the slightest dent in that club's revenues anyway).
They're wise not to have too many of us; I went the other year when Sheffield United played them and the place is toxic, the fans are even more grumpy than we are and there's little by way of vocal encouragement - all you could hear was blades fans and I was at the other end of the ground in the supposedly brilliant Stretford end.

I think it’s abit of panic from Mel. Derby have paid Man U for 5000+ tickets. Potentially at £45 each with any concession being deducted from the final bill. Derby panicked that they could have a few tickets they couldn’t sell at the full value which they’d have to pay Man U for so they cut some of the losses and reduced them. Derby stand to get around £1.5m from the game.
