Would have thought Joel Matip and VVD would be the starting centre backs one Matip returns from injury.

The price is crazy, but that's just the PL these days so if it's the going rate then why not?

The lad was a class above up here and seems to have adapted well to the PL. He's got it all, physically immense, great technically, quick, reads the game well and is a threat in the air from set pieces. If he can put it all together he'll be a top player.

There's an almost endless supply of TV money in the EPL so forget the price, it wont be the record for too long.

I honestly think he's one of the top few centerbacks in the world, and he could easily be at the heart of Liverpools defense for the next 6-8 years.

I cant think of a team he would not get a game for, most of the whining is jealousy.

only question marks are around his mentality. He certainly has the ability, but if he's not happy I think he has a tendency to down tools.

I wouldn't be so sure re TV money.

Sky and BT recently cut a deal which allows them to show each others premium channels on the other service.

That, coupled with the largest amount of live games ever being available to buy has led to some people believing the amount of TV money will plateau or even go down.

Yeah he Is better than what you have but you will still concede loads as your tactics are all about outscoring teams.
