Another good thing about Uniteds poor form is Ozil looking at them thinking that they're are not actually that great, and even more unlikely to move in Jan (as if we'd let him) - and hopefully not at the end of the season either.
As soon as both Sanchez and Ozil didn't sign new contracts, I was resigned to losing them both at the end of the season. With Sanchez seems most likely to go to City, while Ozil it was either he was staying or United. As much as I'd like to think he'd never move to United the way they started the season there was an obvious draw, but right now they aren't even that much better than us - drawn into the top 4 battle with the rest of us.

Watching Southampton under Pellegrino must be watching paint dry every week. Same for Dyche with Burnley.

I'm sure there's another team out there somewhere that this applies to as well.

Our last 3 draws in the league only one team deserved to win and that was Man Utd. I reckon expected goals we won all 3 by at least 2 goals.

You certainly didn't deserve to win today.

Leicester and Burnley you can make arguments for deserving a win but United were shambolic tonight and deserved nothing.
Re Ozil, United may not be a big step up but he will earn a lot more money there. Still expect him to join them unfortunately

For me, UTD's poor form highlights the fact that it would not be an upwards move for Ozil (rather a sideways move...at best!) regarding trophies etc. As far as the atmosphere working at Old Trafford under Mourinho concerned, he should be able to see that it will be toxic as opposed to the turbulence he has endured at the Emirates. He'd be nuts to go there.

Some stupid arguments on here Moving from a team in the EL and who might not even qualify for that this season compared to a team in 3rd place, in the CL this year and very likely to be in it next year. They are also a team that will spend a lot of money to improve unlike Arsenal and are likely to pay him far, far more than Arsenal will. Add to that , if he goes in January the team he goes to will have to pay a transfer fee whereas if he goes in the summer they wont so he will be able to use that to negotiate higher wages and/or signing on fee.
So on every level it is likely that Ozil will join Man U or another CL team in the summer. He and Sanchez can talk to clubs from january so why would they bother moving now?

Southampton had next to no ambition to win though playing like 8 at the back and playing on isolated counter attacks. The more it went on the worse it got. Its funny they had so much space to go into but they couldn't even go forward. Watching Southampton under Pellegrino must be watching paint dry every week. Same for Dyche with Burnley.

Hafi, you are trying too hard. Trying to WUM that you don't think that Jose's Bus Parkers are the most negative team in the top half of the PL is stretching credibility too far.

It is a pretty stupid argument to suggest we may not qualify for at least the Europa this season.

Lose Ozil on a free or pay him 250k+ a week, genuinely don't know which option is worse.
