Must admit it’s a strange one. I guess the fee is negligible and we aren’t paying his wages.....but for us to play him he needs a work permit and that could take a bit of getting unless he is hot.

Leeds United have agreed a shock double deal for Japanese centre-forward Yuta Toyokawa , it has been announced.

Belgian club KAS Eupen revealed on their official website on Friday morning that Toyokawa, 23, has signed on a loan deal from Leeds after moving to Elland Road from Japanese second division side Fagiano Okayama.

It is explained that the striker will link up with Eupen at their training camp at the Doha-based Aspire Academy on Sunday after the completion of the transfer formalities.

Intriguingly, Leeds have failed to release a statement to confirm the signing of Toyokawa and there has been no speculation in the media about the possibility of him moving to the Championship promotion hopefuls.

However, United must have signed the Japanese striker in order for him to be loaned out to Eupen, in what is a double deal seemingly done simultaneously.
