If it’s true that Liverpool got 105m up front then surely the bulk of that money has just gone on VVD.

Recently Liverpool have always balanced the books so it doesn’t leave much for a replacement

Well we wanted to splash out on VVD in the summer but that didn't happen (did it Eric?), so the funds were there then

That is a crazy amount of money, surprised they payed that but I guess it isn't much for them.

Then it’s just mane and Salah and a heavy workload

Which alleged racism? The FA have opened up an investigation after the player made an allegation. People have only assumed racial abuse, note not racism, has occurred but nobody has come out and said that's the case. However because there is an investigation Firmino will receive a minimum of three games as he verbally abused the player. This will be added to if indeed racial abuse has been reported and if it is probably true.

My worry is only for the remainder of this season. We have taken several steps forward I the past couple of seasons with player recruitment so I expect that to continue. Hopefully we get in a replacement and if not we can claim top four. I'm not as confident of finishing above United now so my claims may looks stupid come the end of the season. Oh well.

Yep. It is never reported as it happens every game but since there is an investigation now, he will receive a minimum of three games.

I read it in the rules around the time of the alleged Suarez racial abuse case.

Surely, if it’s not racial, the mitigating circumstances will be taken into account? Holgate is lucky he only got verbal abuse.....
