Just like many players in England with South africa connection? He looks like a champion. The sixes he hit the other night reminded me of Keiron Pollard...Tall man,,,hits the ball HIGH and LONG and above all makes it look Efforless.Especially that 6 off Virat kohli, inside out Massive six to long off was incredible to watch.
England might have found a 6 hitting lower order dynamo!
Is Johnny Bairstow Saffer?

Scribe,
I take your point on his Yorkshire form, he did tail off for us in the second half of the season a tad.
However, I reckon the selectors like him because he is a big game player who has the attributes to be immense. He seems unfazed, aggressive, arrogant and eager to win.

Morning yorkie and saw you here so thought I would just throw in a comment that is slightly off topic. Big 3 points yesterday considering the way the game was going? lol
The selectors are superb and will know how to handle Johnny. We have so many choices that it's fun waiting to see who will play, and win for England

I didn't see him as showing arrogance, just comfortable in that environment.

Hey it was good innings but he faced a poor attack with a wet ball.Afridi made the quickest ton on debut and look how he turned out.
India found a couple of good youngsters in case you havent noticed.

Kohli, Patel and Raina have played a fair number of ODI games so are hardly new. Rahane failed to deliver.
