Quality shots last night.... Great stuff
Lancashire here .. bye bye
Congrats on winning the Championship with the Yorkshire B team fella. Says it all about the way our county is ran.
I played all the way through the Yorkshire age groups with him, and he was always going to be an England player. He's always hit it unbelievably hard, and trains harder then anyone. What Boycott said about winning all the sprints is also true, he was 1st in the bleep test etc, and always striving to be the best.
His father ( he was my favourite player back then ) was a credit to himself and the sport, and we know when Johnny is getting his big hitting from. Chuffed to rocks for the lad yesterday, who really did demonstrate to us what you can do to this awful Indian attack?
Buckinghamshire>Yorkshire
Bairstow is certainly not a saffer but has all the hallmarks similar to a first world war 'sapper'.
They were the guys who tunnelled under the enemy trenches and exploded bombs under them.
Jonny certainly bombed the India team yesterday.

Did you serve hopefor? I did over 20 years in the Royal Signals and know all about the Royal Engineers
Is Bairstow in the England set up for good, or was this just to give him a trial run, against a weak side, whilst we rested many?

To be honest Scribe. I hope he has given the selectors a mighty headache. Anybody who plays at Cardiff and almost hits the ball out of Wales is a seriously dangerous player. I think he stuck one in a nearby river yesterday? Bloody Hell.

No Maksi I didn't serve, I'm somewhat older than you and was around when there was still National Service which ended before I finished my engineering studies.
As for Bairstow he's almost certainly getting his jabs for India as we speak and will be going there to inflict further pain on India in their own back yard.
lol hopefor. I love the spirit mate.I don't know why the Indians are getting so excited about playing us over there. Surely if there batsmen can smash our bowlers about then we will do the same to theirs with interest? We rested a couple of good ones yesterday, but it appears they don't have any to start with
Geoff Boycott hinted on Test Match Special that the player could now be a key player in the middle order for England, especially with his ability to hit sixes, something England have struggled to do at times, adding "he is a proper batsman and can hit the ball further than anyone at Yorkshire".

We just got relegated mate, and have done terribly in all the other formats. He would only have to hit the ball to win that contest?
On a more serious note. I am chuffed for Johnny and wish him well. He has only had 1 game but boy oh boy has he turned a few heads. Were you surprised by his onslaught yesterday Indiasox?
Don't think they will put him in regular to be honest
