I take your point on his Yorkshire form, he did tail off for us in the second half of the season a tad.
However, I reckon the selectors like him because he is a big game player who has the attributes to be immense. He seems unfazed, aggressive, arrogant and eager to win.

The selectors are superb and will know how to handle Johnny. We have so many choices that it's fun waiting to see who will play, and win for England

Hey it was good innings but he faced a poor attack with a wet ball.Afridi made the quickest ton on debut and look how he turned out.
India found a couple of good youngsters in case you havent noticed.

Kohli, Patel and Raina have played a fair number of ODI games so are hardly new. Rahane failed to deliver.
