I’m seeing berardi more and more as a Hughes player.

Great squad player and want him on the bench as he is a good rightback and could slot in on leftback or maybe even centreback if we picked up an injury during a game.

But I just don’t see him as a first team regular

It'll depend on how he sees the club identifying team mates and whether or not he sees another season of attrition ahead.

There's also the small matter of a WC ahead. If he gets game time, if he plays well, then his stock will rise and clubs will circle.

Convinced he will be here next season, do not really see anyone cherry picking our defence, in recent months, without Ayling they have been abysmal, Pontus pretty much an ever present, speaks volumes.

The driftwood will be sold (O'Kane/Cibicki/Wiedwald/Lonners etc.....) and we'll have a smaller, leaner but far more capable squad to start the season with ..... oh and Pablo will sign a new contract as well.
