I seem to recall inviting you to one that you couldn't make. The 606 tournaments were all 11-a-side though. We tried to join a league out in Enderby but we were useless and it ended up being too much hassle to organise so we gave it up.

There hasn't been anything proper in several years though. And probably for the best because we just kept going downhill, goalkeeper or no.


Incidentally, one of the old Leicester 606 team is in the final of Only Connect tonight. Used to post here under the name FoxesTom8. I think I'm the only one of the team who still posts though.

I think that was the one where we discussed appropriate footwear for the type of pitch to be used and mine wasn’t of the desired brand. I could have been there otherwise as I’d called beforehand. Then there was the one in the London area that was proposed by the Spurs fan. That one never got going, mind you it was when things were heated on here...

The 6-a-side in London I remember being proposed and I was willing to try to put a team together for that; never heard any more about it though and it was discussed just before I went on a summer holiday anyway.

Occasionally. Haven't spoken directly for a while, although one of his latest Facebook posts is that if Puel isn't gone by the end of the season he'll be f'ing livid.

I always wondered what he would make of the current situation so thanks for sharing!! He’s more old school, favours the counter attacking style of football. I actually agreed with him when he said Atletico should be the team we model ourselves on. Carry on with the counter but with better quality players
