So here's what's going to happen depending on the result:
Liverpool lose: We get WUMmed all day and for the next week saying our challenge for fourth is over and get told to face reality. Some WUMs from Spurs fans but mainly Arsenal and Chelsea fans.
Draw: We get WUMmed all day by Arsenal and Chelsea fans because we spent so much money and we can't get more than one point from Stoke and Spurs so we're clearly not fit for fourth.
Liverpool win: We still get WUMmed all day by Arsenal and Chelsea fans because we got lucky with a poor referee's decision and that we're deluded because every Liverpool fan thinks the club is the dog's b******s.
I'm expecting never ending abuse about Lawro's and Hansen's views tonight whatever the result.
It's hard being a Liverpool fan on ja606...
The Outcome of the Tottenham Game

I said 'at the moment'. I keep an open mind but surely you can't argue Arsenal are better than Liverpool right now.

On paper yes, but I couldn't possibly argue that they're playing well enough to suggest they are better.

And you think Arsenal are playing better?
We didnt play particulary well against Stoke but against Bolton we were the best I've seen in a while. Haven't seen an Arsenal performance to match it although given credit they've had a tough start.

No, that was my point. Right now they are not playing better as is evident by your respective positions in the table.
However, Arsenal are on a really bad run of form and I believe that, when playing at their best, Arsenal are better than Liverpool. Although that may not be the case if they fail to get into the Champions League next season.

Which is why I said 'at the moment'...
I never suggested at any time one club is better than the other overall. It's arguable, it's not as black and white as comparing either club to United who are clearly better than both.

Yeah, I didn't see the "at the moment" but even then, that's more to do with form than ability. QPR have more points than Arsenal but would they be considered better? I admit it's not the best comparison but I think you get the gist.

I never suggested anything about points showing who's the better team at this stage. Like I said Arsenal have had tough fixtures to start the season.
Still doesn't hide the fact we were the better side when we played them in their own back yard.
I think overall they have the potential to be better than us this season but we're in a much better position to do well and we have the advantage.

In fairness what makes me laugh is the similarity between our start to the season last year, and Arsenal's this year.
Yet if we had suggested that 'we were going to finish 4th' or 'Arsenal are just an average team' last year (like we have heard about us this year) we would've have been slaughtered and called deluded, and rightly so .
We appear to be unreasonable when we say 'a top 4 finish should be well within our grasp', yet Arsenal fans aren't apparently.

I thought you were very much even with Arsenal until they had Frimpong sent off then you made your superior numbers count. If it had been 11 v 11 I reckon it would have definitely been a stalemate.

I think it's a mixture of envy and disappointment because of your team's start to theirs. At least you're getting wummed when you're doing well - which is much easier to take than being wummed when you're bottom of the league.
