We should put in bids now, strike while the iron is hot.

No way back for Wojciech Szczęsny. Not good enogh. Why suddenly people think he has changed since he left is beyond me. Agree with J99 here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1 - he wasn't that bad to begin with. Played behind a team that was shocking defensively so it is no surprise his confidence took a knock.
2 - keepers tend to improve as they age. The keeper coaching during his time here was sub standard

He’d be a good option no doubt but he’s not gonna significantly improve our starting XI if at all, and it’s not like he’d come to us as a squad player. He already did that at Bayern and obviously didn’t enjoy it

Depends on the kind of business we do. If we can't get world class players that can significantly improve us, then PL quality players that can improve on the Iwobis and Elnenys and Welbecks and Wilsheres and Bellerins are just fine.

Not good for Bayern. Moving to Stoke and now good enough for Arsenal? No thanks.

Wouldn't mind Shaqiri, we should stay well clear of the rest of their squad.

This is the thing, we don't even need a team of world beaters just some solid, reliable, consistent players who don't get injured a lot would improve us massively and then mix that in with a few world class talents. The number of our key players who hit 30 league games a season in the last decade is shocking, compare it to Barca, Real almost all their players do it every year.

Just because some of our players are League 1 level doesn't mean we should sign Championship or Lower prem standard players. Improving on utter comedy shiiit with slightly better dross still leaves you with dross...

Don't assume that all players that are relegated are dross. Football is a team game and often very good players under perform because of downward momentum of the dressing room often caused by poor management. Just look at Leicester. A team fighting relegation goes onto win the premier league the following season with the same players.

This reminds me of when I called for us to sign Mane and I was told he's just the Senegalese Gervinho. No, I don't think Shaqiri would make the impact of Mane, but I don't see how anyone who has watched him would think he couldn't fit fluidly into our unit. Your entire first 11 mustn't be made up of world class players. There are at like 6/7 players in Liverpool's regular starting 11 that I wouldn't care to have in our team, but they're still a far better team than us.
