I don’t really understand where all this certainty about Lampard comes from. If the bookies are right then it’s absolutely nailed on for Lampard.
Igor says it’s going to be announced over the weekend but this story from the BBC seems less certain.

If you add that to the fact that Griff has been silent on the matter then it has me thinking that it’s not done and dusted.

If it wasn’t for those bookies odds I wouldn’t even have Lampard in the frame. All stories seem to rotate around him being favourite.
I reckon ‘arry and Mel have got together to fabricate a story so the odds on Smith drift out so they can lump on him before Mel appoints the Brentford manager.

Bookies are seldom wrong when they suspend betting. They are not in the gambling business to lose money.

Lampard has had talks apparently but so have plenty of others. What has happened that has put Lampard away and clear?
I haven’t seen anything other than news outlets reporting his interest and because he’s a big name there’s more interest which is reflected at the bookies which in turn generates more news as he climbs up in the odds. So people start to believe there’s more in it than there really is so they lump on which brings him to odds on which blahdy blahdy blah...etc.

Can anyone point to a genuine reason why he should be such a nailed on favourite?

He's doing BT sport for the CL final tomorrow night, so more Monday/Tuesday than Sat/Sun.....so kick back and enjoy the long weekend ya lucky sods.

Tommo there’s been so much money for Lampard that they can’t afford it if he gets the job so they suspend the betting. They may also assume that some knows something hence all the money for him. Yet it could all be smoke.

I can understand that. He’s under contract to BT so can’t be appointed yet.
