You spunked £40m on Bakanono, £35m on Drinkwater, and £15m on Ross which way are we shooting this half Barkley - whilst selling Matic for peanuts.

The premise of the article was, was it such a bad season, I've answered that yes it was, and added what I thought the cause of that was.

But we already know what the major contributing cause was, if you spend as much time reading the articles on the Chelsea board as you appear to, you'd know Chelsea supporters understand that, as the majority have been saying it since well before Xmas!

You announce it, as some ground breaking, in depth analysis that no one has thought of before!

I've been to Stamford Bridge and therefore know that there is a large element amongst you lot that need these things spelling out.

Yeah...says everything

It felt bad but that is because we are spoiled by recent success.

Only 2 teams have ever won back to back premierships and we have only done it once, I expect we will do it again at some point but was not expecting too last season.

It's interesting how we were accused of being the death of football just over a decade ago yet there are more teams challenging now than ever and Leicester actually won one.

No team has a God given right to win, and the competition makes it tougher so yes a bad season, but all things considered, I'm not complaining even if I am glad it's over.

JF...for sure that would've been an ask...but top four should be achievable...we just never turned up some weeks mostly in games that were well within our reach to win

Can't argue with that. I'm surprised we were close enough mathematically as long as we were. Not a giant leap for us to get back, by no means a given but I'll take it.

I think Salah will return to normal next as will Pool. Lets face it it wasnt really a big ask to stop the pool goal machine even with our so called under achieving defence. Liverpool have been a one trick pony all season. Spurs seem to think that just returning to white hart lane will be the key to the premier are forgetting that it wil still be an alien environment to the players as they ill have maybe trained on it twice, Arsenal have never really recovered from the highbury move.
