Who will replace Ronaldo?

The immediate candidates are Neymar, Hazard, Mbappe and Lewandowski perhaps?

I think if they fail to sign Neymar the player to replace Ronaldo will be from the world cup winning team as it would fit into their Galactico/Flavour of the month policy.

Belgium... Hazard (Courtois will join regardless)
France... Mbappe
England... Kane (Ronaldo was used a striker more these past 2 seasons)

If Croatia win it then fack knows.

Mbappe and Kane have just signed new contracts which puts their clubs in extremely strong positions. Of all the players mentioned here, the only one for sale at the right price will be Hazard.

Price has never really been an issue for Real Madrid though.

Spurs and Liverpool are lucky that Real won the CL, because finishing 4th and trophyless after Barca and PSG's expenditure would have put huge pressure on them to spend big. As it is though, there is still the pressure of overhauling Barca in the league both on and off the pitch.

Hazard won’t be an adequate replacement for Ronaldo. Would have to be Mbappe or Salah.

Icardi or Lewandowski are a couple of players who would be available.

I think they would probably want someone like Neymar or Mbappe, because although Hazard or Salah might be quality players, they are not as marketable. They also do not demonstrate enough intent or make much of a statement.

I wish Chelsea had made a move to sign Ronaldo as he could have been used as a swap for Hazard.I don't want to see Chelsea losing Hazard to Real Madrid.

Looking at this from Real's prospective, your primary targets would be Neymar or Mbappe.

I echo what Broaquin said. No-one will replace CR7 on the pitch so they have to look at this from the business point of view, and Hazard & Salah are niche markets. Neymar holds the keys to the Brazilian market (the heartbeat of football), and if France win this WC Mbappe will temporarily be the hottest property in football.

Unless Hazard comes out and signals intent to move, I don't fear a Real approach. They've had plenty of time to pounce the last two years, don't think they rate him highly enough to match our valuation. Good for us if I'm right

It will be Hazard and Lewandowski most likely with Bale completing the 3

On paper that looks really exciting

Mbappe has more to his game and is younger. You cant replace CR7 like for like and Kane is under no pressure at Spurs. He will want to win a domestic trophy at some stage but will give Spurs another season or two first i think.
