Best central midfield

Who do we rate as the best midfield for next season ?

Chelsea: Golovin - Jorginho - Kante
Liverpool: Ox - Fabinho - Keita
Man City: De Bruyne - Fernandinho - Silva
Man Utd: Pogba - Fred - Matic
Spurs: Eriksen - Dier - Alli

Neves needs to prove himself at a decent level first.

City have the most proven midfield but Fernandinho is 33 and just come off the back of a poor world cup. It's a big ask for him to be the sole DM in the squad covering for attacking 8s in Silva and KDB all season. Genuinely feel like City need more legs/power in their midfield this season, what with Silva ageing too, although he's obviously still a quality player

Liverpool's lack passing quality but are perfectly suited for a Klopp team. Fabinho/Ox/Keita are all dynamic/energetic players

Spurs' midfield might lack the flavour of the others but it's tried and tested top 3 material. Although Dembele leaving hinders it

Chelsea's midfield is good if they can adapt to Sarri's system. Even if Golovin doesn't sign they have decent options

RE Man Utd I haven't seen Fred play at all. I'm not sure anyone can rank their midfield the highest yet

If we sign Golovin then our midfield is the best.

If we don't sign Golovin then our midfield is 2nd best behind Cities and that's only with Kanté and Jorginho.

Can't believe any midfield with Matic and Pogba is even considered any good, Too unbalanced.

Cracks me up to think that Neves is comfortably better than a majority of those right there and plays for little ol' Wolves

Aye cus no way would any of those players stand out in the championship that's for sure

At the end of last season i would have put it in this order:
Man City
Liverpool
Spurs
Man Utd
Chelsea.
However if that is what each teams regular midfield i would put it in this order:
Man City
Chelsea
Liverpool
Man Utd
Spurs.

Any midfield that doesn't include Fabregas or Bakayoko will be a massive improvement for us

Might find Pogba stepping up this term

Regardless of which is best, and despite the fact that I've not seen much of any of the new signings, all those midfields look pretty mouth-watering on paper.

Looks like we might be in for a cracking PL season.

It also depends on the system adopted by each team.
City's system tends to bring out the best in our midfielders.
