Davy Klaasen

So Davy Klaasen has joined Werder Bremen for £12m. He was signed by Everton last summer for £24m.

He played 251 minutes of premier league football- this means every minute he spent on the pitch cost the club just under £10,000.

In those minutes, Klaasen contributed 0 goals and 0 assists to the team as Everton finished 8th.

Everton also paid Klaasen £100k per week in the 12 months he was at the club.

On signing for his new club, Klaasen said he was "looking forward to playing attractive, attacking football" again.

How would people rate his stint as a premier league player?

Let me say this. The dutch league still produce good talents but the focus is more on one dimensional players with passing and tactics. The freedom to express them self is limited by those dinosaurs coaches.

The dutch league is also poor but outside the top 5 Europe leagues the dutch still have a better league than most in Europe.

The infrastructure for youth development is the best in Europe but need to get rid of those dinosaur coaches.

The last young player to move *and succeed* was Van Persie

Suarez

He's Uruguayan, not Dutch.

Exactly. Otherwise we could start to look at Sanchez to Spurs

What Dinosaur coaches? We have had young coaches for a while now succeeding in the Dutch leage.

Bosz, Cocu, v Bronckhorts, vd Boer, Ten Hag, I dont think there are any dinosaur coaches left, except Sluutsky at Vitesse, he looks like a dinosaur.

The thing about dinosaurs is, kids dinosaurs are made of plastic. Plastic is made from oil. Oil is derived from fossilized dinosaurs.

So.… dinosaurs are made from dinosaurs

Think the lad deserves a lot of credit. He came and he tried and never moaned or slagged anyone off. He’s now moved on and I’d imagine took a decent pay cut to play football

I wish Sturridge and others would do the same

They have outdated methods of working. Their tactics are still of 20 years ago with their 433 and wingers who need to cross the ball. Modern football is about wingers who can come inside and score goals like Salah, Mane, Ronaldo, Neymar and others. Those coaches you have mentioned and none of them will cut it internationally. Bosz had a stint at Dortmund and didn't last a few months and the same for FDB. I have high hopes for Cocu and van Bommel.

The club I hate the most in the Netherlands is Ajax the rest I don't mind.

My home town the hague is the third big city in the Netherlands and could have the third big club in the country but the people at the helm of Ado are clueless.
